Spent our evenings in nearby La Bodeguilla del Bar Jamon enjoying drinks and atmosphere...

The receptionists were super friendly and took the time to explain everything on the map. Even though their English wasn't perfect, they were still great compared to other receptionists I've dealt with. The location was really convenient, close to the train stations and major sights. Plus, the hotel was overall clean and tidy, which was a huge plus for me.

That it was a bit far from the beach. It took some time to get there, so it wasn't as convenient if you're looking to spend a lot of time by the sea.

had a fantastic date night in el puerto de santa maria. chaikana exceeded expectations with clean rooms, helpful staff, and convenient parking. great neighborhood with eateries within walking distance and good breakfast at the hotel.

Bathroom was tiny, no trays in the shower.

I stayed at Chaikana for 3 nights during my vacation in Spain. The location was perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the waterfront and close to many bars and restaurants. The hotel offered secure underground parking for a small fee or free street parking if available. The rooms, reception, and breakfast room were clean, fresh, bright. The staff was friendly and the room rate was great value. The 5-euro buffet breakfast had a variety of choices and was really good.

The area rocked for beach bumming and partying all night long. We hit up the super cool clubs in El Puerto de Santa Maria and took a rad adventure to Cadiz. We even went hiking and horse riding, total adrenaline rush! Best vacay ever!

Only thing missing was a pool or beach bar at the hotel. Would have been sweeter to chill and sip some cocktails while soaking up the sun.
